Overview

Founded in 1955 and formally opened in 1960, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) is Nigeria's first indigenous and autonomous university. It is a research-led institution committed to its motto: 'To Restore the Dignity of Man.'

UNN operates a unique multi-campus system. The Nsukka campus offers a serene, hilly environment for learning, while the Enugu Campus (UNEC) is located in the heart of the city, focusing on Business and Law. The Ituku-Ozalla campus houses one of Nigeria's best teaching hospitals.

💡 Pro Tip: Admission into the 'Lion's Den' is a badge of honor. UTME candidates should aim for high aggregate scores, especially if applying for Law or Medicine at the Enugu or Ituku-Ozalla campuses. Always verify your O'Level upload on JAMB CAPS early.

Candidates must be at least 16 years of age. UNN requires 5 O'Level credits (English and a Science subject included) in no more than two sittings.
